Qismet Elchin oglu Rustamov was born on March 15, 1986, in Baku. From 2003 to 2007, he studied at the Faculty of Journalism of Odlar Yurdu University, and from 2007 to 2009, he completed his master’s degree. From 2018 to 2025, he was a doctoral candidate at the Department of Foreign Literature of Azerbaijan University of Languages. He holds a PhD in Philology (2025). Over the years, he has taught at Odlar Yurdu University, Khazar University, and Baku Slavic University. He is currently Chief of Staff of the Azerbaijan Creativity Foundation and editor-in-chief of the literary website sim-sim.az. He is the author of the books "Vitrin" (2010), "Sorrows of the Megapolis" (2011), "History of the Future" (2016, 2020), "The Dove Alphabet" (2020), "The Mirrored Curtain" (2024), and "On One of the Familiar Streets" (2025). In 2011, he was awarded the international poetry prize named after Vazha-Pshavela.
